In this image, the split seawall entrance to the 21st Street pier can be seen. The left (east) fork is the Dreamland Cafe with a large sign on its roof advertising the Turf Grill. The right (west) fork is the Art Deco facade of the Balinese Room’s seawall entrance. West of the 21st Street pier is Murdoch’s bathhouse, with the Pleasure Pier visible beyond and the Buccaneer Hotel across the street.

This Photochrome postcard was produced in 1953. An earlier linen version, issued in 1951, is also in the collection.
